Bec and Chris
I’m in no way worried when it rains on a wedding day- there’s always the opportunity for entertaining umbrellas and gumboots, the colours of the earth are more vibrant and the misty clouds always look romantic to me. So when Bec and Chris had to move their wedding from Point Cartwright to Bec’s household house in Maleny due to the wet weather, I feel it just created their day even more romantic! An added small secret romantic bubble was Bec’s pregnancy- she was 16 weeks pregnant on her wedding day!
Bec recalls how she met her husband Chris. “We met by way of Facebook. We grew up in the very same town and knew the identical folks but in no way really met prior to. Chris works away on an oil rig and was on a 5 week stint at the time we started messaging every single other. We decided to meet up on the first weekend of his week off, but as the week got closer we couldn’t wait the complete week to meet each and every other and met up the night he got back residence. We spent every single spare minute of that week with each other possessing an absolute blast. It was the week we fell in really like and realised that this particular person could be the a single for us.”
Pictures these days are by Andrea Sproxton Photography who has taken such stunning pictures of right now’s wedding and made the most of the rainy day! I enjoy the all-natural style Andrea shows!
Bec wore a gown from Bridal Chic with her hair and makeup by Allure Hair and Beauty. She carried a bouquet styled by Maleny Wedding Flowers with jewelery from Sportsgirl.
Bec walked down the aisle to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson. Bec says ” It is 1 of our favourite songs and describes us to a ‘T’!” Kate Witton married the couple.
Bec’s memories of the day are filled with poignant moments. “My favourite memory is seeing him waiting for me although I walk down the aisle to our favourite song… and the element where we had been announced as husband and wife and shared our very first kiss!”
Bec and Chris held a relaxed reception at their favourite dining spot. “We chose Maudys as our reception venue as it is a favourite restaurant of ours and is a especially magical spot about sunset time for the duration of summer. We’ve usually loved the food there and the staff are often actually friendly. We wanted to hold the wedding truly low essential, intimate and laid back so skipped all the usual formalities for the reception. My dad was especially nervous about providing a speech so we told everyone no speech’s. Even so on the evening men and women decided to give speeches anyway and they had been so beautiful since they were made up on the spot and were so heart warming and specific. In lieu of a classic cake, the couple chose a cupcake wedding cake by Julie McMullen.
Congratulations Bec and Chris on your wedding day! Thank you for sharing it with us on Polka Dot Bride! Thank you also to Andrea Sproxton Photography for sharing today’s imagery with us!
