Temporary Bar in Porto by Diogo Aguiar & Teresa Otto

Designed by Diogo Aguiar &#038 Teresa Otto, this is a temporary bar that was produced out of 420 empty IKEA storage boxes. This was constructed as an entry for a competitors organized by the architecture faculty at the Universidade de Porto in Portugal. The modular white cube was constructed by the students in Parque da Cidade, Porto, and could be transformed into a bar by partly folding open one of its walls. The semi-translucent storage boxes varied in size and had been fixed onto a metal structure. At night they had been lit employing LED lights that responded to the music getting played, each and every box giving a various brightness according to its depth.
